On Japan and Economic Progress

Japan has been turning out almost the same economic numbers for decades, it’s a country that has failed to embraced multiculturalism since WWII.  Aging population, decreasing workforce, the economic impact of this is significant. Innovation becomes a drag, skills become a tight commodity, wages and salaries will be dictated by a significant few.

Shinzo Abe needs to change it’s immigration laws, and open up the Japanese labour market to enjoy the benefits of the International labor system. I do understand why they are skeptical of taking this big leap. Japan has a deep connection to its cultures and traditions and an immigration system has the tendency to erode its culture.
