On the US Government and the Armed Militia

The US Constitution allows for an armed militia, specifically the 2nd Amendment. What’s happening in Venezuela and some hotspots around the world is exactly what the founding fathers feared, but there’s a larger picture here.

The Constitution gives us a rare view into the mind of the founding fathers. My understanding is, for successful comparative studies, there’s a need to understand the fundamentals of the Constitution, the founding fathers worried about expanding governments. Big governments have historically been self-absorbed, more socialists, and it influences regional stability.

The founding fathers of the US Constitution laid the groundwork for the government to begin contraction in whatever way it can in other to expand the influence of the people but the rise of socialism calls for big governments and that should worry every everyone on the left and the right.
